On November 3rd, the University of Alberta’s Peter Lougheed Hall received the Award of Merit in the Urban Architecture category at the 2017 Edmonton Urban Design Awards (EUDA)! Since 2005, the City of Edmonton and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) have co-hosted the EUDAs to ‘recognize individuals, organizations, firms and projects that have contributed to urban design and the quality of life in Edmonton’. Peter Lougheed Hall was selected from a large number of submitted projects, and voted upon by a jury of five distinguished design professionals.
Peter Lougheed Hall is a distinct student residence on the University of Alberta’s main campus. Overlooking the North Saskatchewan river, the facility provides an enriching experience that fosters and supports students to put them on a developmental path towards leadership.
