The Pedestrian Overpass in Calgary’s Westbrook neighborhood is getting a makeover! The current overpass will be removed, making way for a new structure that addresses accessibility in this busy pedestrian corridor. Construction on this GEC-designed bridge starts this year!

The new Londonderry Mixed-Use Redevelopment was recently featured in the Globe and Mail. With the innovative unit mix, design, and revenue model, the development is “being hailed as groundbreaking for Edmonton and those involved hope it will be a blueprint for future affordable housing developments.”
As the largest wood roof in North America, the design of the Rocky Ridge roof required a dedicated and innovative team to make it a success. The team, including PCL Construction Management, RJC Consulting Engineers, ISL Engineering, and us, GEC, will be sharing our collaborative experiences of our journey from early hand sketches to cranes and a roof.
