Productivity and Innovation Centre

Driving innovation and exploration.

The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT)’s Productivity and Innovation Centre provides comprehensive support to students and industry. The building design enhances productivity, spurs innovation, fosters a deeper culture of entrepreneurship, and drives solutions to industry-driven problems through applied research.

The Productivity and Innovation Centre’s unique architectural expression reinforces NAIT’s polytechnic campus design, while the building orientation on a unique triangular site addresses the campus context and the specific use of each space. Two space types organize the Productivity and Innovation Centre’s diverse set of program elements into wings while creating efficient and flexible spaces for learning and innovation. The two wings are connected by a light-filled atrium that supports collaboration and interaction between researchers.
