Agnes is a Senior Associate and registered architect in Ontario, bringing nearly three decades of experience and a deep curiosity to her work at GEC’s Toronto studio. Since joining the firm, Agnes has played a key role in leading teams through all phases of design, contributed to business development, and supported the growth of younger staff—all in service of creating thoughtful architecture and a collaborative, resilient studio culture.
With a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Toronto and LEED AP BD+C accreditation, Agnes is particularly drawn to post-secondary and community-focused projects across the Greater Toronto Area. She sees design as a tangible way to make a lasting, positive impact that shapes the spaces where people live, learn, and connect. Her work is guided by the belief that design should balance vision and function: "Beauty," she says, "is just the price of admission." Making something meaningful is the real goal.
Agnes thrives on variety—whether it’s listening closely to clients from different walks of life, solving intricate design problems, or diving into technical details. Her working style is calm and collaborative, with a perfectionist’s drive for excellence. She’s known for showing up fully for her clients and teams, solving challenges side by side and expecting that same sense of shared commitment in return.
Beyond GEC, Agnes extends her impact through volunteer work with the ULI Technical Advisory Committee and the Canada Green Building Council’s Zero Carbon Transition Accelerator. These roles reflect her dedication to sustainability and her belief that meaningful change is a collective effort.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find Agnes outdoors camping, kayaking, swimming, or skiing. She’s also a devoted painter and lifelong reader (the kind of kid who used to walk down the street with a book in hand). If she weren’t an architect, she imagines she might’ve become a carpenter, driven by the woodshop smell and the same problem-solving and love of craft that guide her today.
