Queenie has been at the heart of GEC's evolution since 2010, helping guide the firm’s growth with steady leadership and a deep commitment to people and purpose. As Partner and Chief Financial Officer, she stewards the financial and operational systems that keep the firm resilient, responsive, and future-focused. Whether she’s navigating complex funding strategies or mentoring emerging leaders, Queenie brings clarity and confidence to everything she touches—creating the conditions for teams, projects, and ideas to flourish.
With a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and Chartered Accountant/Chartered Professional Accountant designation, Queenie brings deep financial expertise and a steady hand to every project the firm takes on. She is involved in every project that comes through the door. From the earliest pursuit and proposal stages to project execution and completion, Queenie brings clarity, structure, and strategic insight to help teams succeed. Her approach is grounded in clarity, care, and adaptability—qualities that have earned her the trust of both clients and colleagues.
A proven crisis manager, Queenie led the firm through challenging moments, from natural disasters to global pandemics, with calm confidence and a collaborative mindset. She brings intuitive leadership and a strategic mindset, connecting long-term goals with day-to-day decisions that shape culture, strengthen teams, and move the firm forward. She believes great architecture starts with trust—between teams, with clients, and within communities.
Outside of work, Queenie keeps pace with a full family life that includes three energetic kids and a calendar packed with extracurriculars; her days are fast-paced and full of heart. The trunk of her car tells the story of her life: karate belts, piano books, skating helmets, and high heels—always ready for the next transition. An adventure-seeker at heart, she’s recently added scuba diving to her list of hobbies and holds a PADI certification with dives ranging from coral reefs to night swims with manta rays. She’s also a baker, a photographer, and a firm believer in the power of showing up, tuning out the noise, and building something beautiful—whether it’s a financial plan, a birthday cake, or a new chapter of growth at GEC.
