The GEC Edmonton office accommodates up to 22 workstations, includes a small boardroom, a large conference room, a sample library, a print/copy room, and a full kitchen and eating area for staff use. The large conference room features dual SMARTboard technology and audio/video conferencing capabilities.
The refurbished warehouse building provided an opportunity to take advantage of 13 foot ceiling heights and simply paint the exposed concrete structure. The polished concrete floor is reminiscent of the original warehouse activity. Technology and building systems are exposed throughout the space as an expression of the simplicity of the design.
